“$15 in 2015” membership drive now underway!

From now through 30 Nov 2015, the League of Women Voters of Okaloosa County is offering a special introductory rate of $15 for first-time members. This annual membership is good through 30 Sep 2016, and includes membership in both State and National Leagues. We need your help to keep democracy strong in Okaloosa County. Join League today!
Town Hall MeetingDiscussion on racial issues in Okaloosa County: Local law officers and city leaders will join members of the North Okaloosa County Ministerial Alliance and Crestview Area Ministerial Association on Tuesday, 28 July, at 6:00 pm, to discuss how to respond peacefully in difficult times. Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church (603 Martin Luther King Ave, Crestview) will host the event. The public is welcome, and visitors are asked to bring non-perishable food for the local Sharing and Caring ministry.
Okaloosa County Centennial LogoCelebrate Okaloosa County's Centennial in 2015: Learn all about our wonderful county’s first century! Visit the Facebook page and don’t miss “Pieces of the Past – Okaloosa’s Centennial,” a special exhibit showcasing never-before-displayed artifacts at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida (115 Westview Ave, Valparaiso). The Museum is open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday. While you’re there be sure to pick up a Centennial T-shirt to commemorate your visit.
