Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act (PPACA)

The PPACA was signed into law in March 2010 to transform the U.S. health care and health insurance system. Since its passage the PPACA has been alternately praised and vilified. So much misinformation is floating around that it’s quite difficult to separate fact from fiction. How will “Obamacare” really affect citizens and what will it mean to you personally? Democracy thrives on educated voters, and the League of Women Voters is committed to ensuring Florida voters have good information.

On 23 January the Wall Street Journal published a series of articles entitled "Big Issues: Health Care." Framed as a debate, the articles included a "pro" and "con" argument for each of several issues.
